Fore! It’s time to get out and enjoy some golf with your friends, family, and co-workers at Desert Lakes Golf Course while giving back to the Alamogordo community!
The Rotary Club of White Sands supports numerous community projects, and the challenges of the past few years have made our work more important than ever. Over the past year we have:

• Rung the bell for the Alamogordo Salvation Army,
• Cleaned up 10th Street between White Sands Blvd and the relief route,
• Raised funds and awareness for the End Polio Now campaign,
• Participated in the Big Give Christmas, Lady of the Mountain Run, Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid’s Sake, & pack snack bags for first responders,
• Sponsored the 4-Way Test Essay Contest for local 8th-Graders,
• Provided scholarships to four local NMSU-A students,
• Donated to the Boys & Girls Club, The Counseling Center, Alamogordo & Tularosa Schools, Thrive in Southern NM, 100% Otero and supported the AHS Interact Club,
• Sponsored and organized a monthly Mobile Food Pantry in Boles Acres for 50+ families.

Your support helps make all these efforts possible.
The White Sands Rotary Golf Classic will be held at Desert Lakes Golf Course on Saturday, April 13th this year. Your support in the past helped us purchase a new van for the Boys & Girls Club of Otero County, support the Pregnancy Help Center’s Building Blocks Program, and this year, money raised will help us sustain the “Don’t Meth With Us” program here in our local schools with 5th graders.

Mr. Christopher Calhoun, 49^th Maintenance Group’s Deputy Director for Maintenance, has served in the USAF for 26 years, and 2 years in the Civilian sector. He has held jobs as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on F-15, A-10, F-16, F-35, T-6, T-1, and T-38 aircraft. He is an experienced Technical Training Instructor, Flight Safety Investigator, Chief Contracting Officer's Representative, Lead Aircraft Production Superintendent, and now the Maintenance Operations Officer. He has also performed duties as Security Manager, Resource Advisor, Training Manager, and Staff Superintendent.
